Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced on July 26th local time that he will no longer serve as Prime Minister of Cambodia, and the future Prime Minister candidate of the Cambodian People's Party, Hun Mane, will lead the new government. Hun Sen is currently the Prime Minister of Cambodia and the Chairman of the ruling People's Party. The preliminary vote counting results released by the Cambodian National Election Commission on the same day showed that the People's Party achieved an overwhelming victory in the 7th National Assembly elections held recently. The People's Party will form a new government. On that day, Hun Sen said in a special broadcast on Cambodia's national television that Hun Mane would lead the new Cambodian government. He requested that the Cambodian people understand his decision.
