Hong Kong issues Signal No. 8 for Gale or Storm, Super Typhoon "Sula" Approaches: More than 100000 People Moved from Dangerous Areas in Fujian
Super typhoon Sura is gradually approaching Hong Kong. At 2:40 am on September 1st, the Hong Kong Observatory issued Signal No. 8 for strong winds or storms.
According to the meteorological department's forecast, from the night of August 31 to the day of September 1, Typhoon "Sula" will bring heavy rainfall to the southern coast of Fujian. The Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters of the People's Government of Fujian Province maintained a level II emergency response against typhoon and a level IV emergency response against rainstorm.
To defend against typhoons, as of 21:00 on August 31, Fujian Province has accumulated more than 54800 sinking cadres and more than 104200 dangerous area residents.

At present, Fujian Province has preset more than 60000 rescue forces and mobilized more than 30000 sets of various emergency rescue equipment to cope with various types of rescue operations.
