High Quality Development Research Tour | Danzhou, Hainan: A Shared Farm for "Two Way Journey" Hainan | Farm | Sharing
Shared farms are an important model for Hainan to explore high-quality development of rural revitalization. According to data from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hainan Province, the social investment in Hainan Shared Farm has reached nearly 10 billion yuan.
The permanent population of Youwen Village in Danzhou City, Hainan Province is less than 800 people, which is relatively far from the coastline. In the past, transportation was inconvenient, crops were single, and the per capita income of the villagers was relatively low. In 2019, the construction of the shared farm began, and Youwen Village gradually transformed from a little-known small mountain village to a well-known "internet celebrity village" in the province. In 2021, the collective economic income of the village increased more than 10 times compared to before construction, reaching 3.08 million.
Nowadays, the shared farm in Youwen Village has collaborated with multiple agricultural cooperatives on the island to create 23 planting bases, forming a "enterprise+cooperative+farmer" full industry chain planting alliance for production, supply, and sales, with a joint planting base of about 100000 acres. Distribute dividends of over 10 million yuan to poverty-stricken households in surrounding villages and towns, and provide employment opportunities for 350 farmers in the surrounding areas. Watch the video and learn how the local shared farm operates in both directions.
