High quality development research tour: "Big block" smart brain
Driving through the Songnen Plain, one can see a vast expanse of fertile fields and vast clouds. When the "kowtow machines" appeared in Daqing Oilfield, the reporter seemed to see crude oil gushing out, turning into oil, fiber, fertilizer, plastic, and rubber, integrating into all aspects of industrial production and daily life.
Over the past 60 years, Daqing Oilfield has produced a total of 2.5 billion tons of crude oil, accounting for over one-third of the total onshore crude oil production in China. Although the remaining reserves are still enormous, it is extremely difficult to improve the recovery rate. This important task has been entrusted to the Daqing Oilfield Exploration and Development Research Institute. This research institute, established in 1964, provides technical support for the stable production of 50 million tons of crude oil in Daqing Oilfield for 27 years and 40 million tons for 12 years.
There are four rock cores displayed in the exhibition hall of the research institute. According to Hou Zhaowei, an enterprise technical expert, from left to right, the original rock cores undergo multiple oil displacement processes, including water flooding, polymer flooding, and ternary composite flooding, gradually turning from black brown to earth yellow and gray white. "The recovery rate has exceeded 59%, which is at the international leading level." Hou Zhaowei has been on the front line of research and development of ternary composite flooding technology. "In the early stages of research and development, foreign experts said we couldn't do it. The fact has proven that we have achieved it, breaking foreign monopolies, reducing prices by half, and increasing the recovery rate by 20%. China has become the only country in the world to industrialize the application of ternary composite flooding technology on a large scale."
"To engage in technological research and development, we must endure loneliness and sit on a cold bench." Hou Zhaowei told reporters that researchers are still working on improving oil recovery technology through multi medium collaboration. "Resources are limited, technology is unlimited. Our goal is to maintain oil and gas production equivalent of over 40 million tons by the year 2060, when Daqing Oilfield reaches its centenary of development."
Heilongjiang has a solid industrial foundation, with not only Daqing Oilfield, but also large state-owned enterprises such as Harbin Electric Power Group and China First Heavy Industries. For these "big guys", research institutes and experimental centers are like smart brains, overcoming the bottleneck problem for decades and driving speed and load reduction.
"Turning counterclockwise like this is using abundant electricity to pump water into the upper reservoir, converting electrical energy into potential energy for storage." Wang Huanmao, deputy director of the Harbin Electric Power Research Institute of Harbin Electric Power Group, demonstrated a model of pumped storage units. As early as the 1960s, the company began developing pumped storage units. At present, Harbin Electric Group has a market share of over 40% and has participated in the research and development and manufacturing of 32 pumped storage power stations and 118 pumped storage units.
By introducing, digesting, absorbing, and innovating again, Harbin Electric Power Group has mastered a unique research and manufacturing system for power generation equipment: Fengning Pumped Storage Power Station has created four world firsts; All units of the Yangjiang pumped storage power station, which has a 700 meter level ultra-high head, high speed, and the largest single unit capacity built in China, have been put into operation; The world's first million kilowatt Baihetan hydropower unit has achieved safe and stable operation at full load... In the first half of this year, the operating revenue of Harbin Electric Group increased by 16.9% year-on-year, and the total profit increased by 26.8% year-on-year.
In Heilongjiang, the effect of shaping industrial core competitiveness through innovation is gradually emerging. "We focus on achieving technological self-reliance and self-improvement, constantly stimulating the innovation vitality of enterprises." Wang Yi, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Heilongjiang Province, said that the R&D expenditure of industrial enterprises above designated size in the province accounts for nearly half of the total social R&D investment. As of 2022, a total of 16 national level enterprise technology centers and 49 provincial-level enterprise technology centers have been cultivated.
"Grassroots innovation is particularly important, and the energy generated is enormous," said Liu Boming, Deputy Plant Director of the Hydraulic Forging Plant of China Yizhong Forging Steel Business Unit. Liu Boming Model Worker Innovation Studio was established in 2014 and has proposed 86 research and development projects, each of which is the result of workers observing and practicing in their daily work. The studio participated in the design and production of the world's first 3000 ton super slurry bed forging welding hydrogenation reactor, which still holds the world's heaviest single unit record to this day. "As of 2022, the studio has reduced costs and increased efficiency for enterprises by approximately 200 million yuan."
At present, China First Heavy Industry Corporation has completed 620 grassroots innovation projects, with a cumulative effect of nearly 700 million yuan, filling nearly 500 technological gaps in domestic industrial products, and creating hundreds of "firsts".
