Nanning, June 11th (Xinhua) - According to the instructions of the Emergency Management Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on June 9th, the bureau urgently transported more than 10000 flood prevention and disaster relief materials to Beihai City to support the flood prevention and disaster relief work in Hepu County, Beihai City, according to the Grain and Material Reserve Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Affected by heavy rainfall, the situation of flood control and disaster relief work in Shankou Town and Baisha Town of Hepu County, Beihai City is severe, and the demand for emergency supplies is rapidly increasing. After receiving instructions, the Grain and Material Reserve Bureau of the Autonomous Region immediately activated the emergency material transportation plan, organized the Autonomous Region Disaster Relief Material Reserve Center, Guangxi Grain Transport Group, and other organizations to quickly coordinate manpower and transportation capacity, urgently dispatched 9 vehicles to work simultaneously from three material warehouses, and organized overnight shipments. At 22:30 on June 9th, the first vehicle loaded with 200 12 square meter single tents and 280 folding beds was dispatched to Baisha Town, Hepu County. At 7:50 am on June 10th, all emergency relief supplies were safely transported to Shankou Town and Baisha Town in Hepu County.
According to statistics, a total of 10812 flood prevention and disaster relief supplies worth nearly 2 million yuan were urgently transported this time, including 200 single tents per 12 square meters, 2500 folding beds, 2500 mosquito nets, 2500 spring and autumn blankets, 2500 sets of T-shirts, 500 household emergency lights, 100 handheld amplifiers, 6 reinforced assault boats, 2 emergency mobile lighting lighthouses, and 4 boxes of special oil for outboard engines.
