According to the German newspaper Le Monde on June 30th, data from German arms dealer Rheinmetall shows that due to the continuous transportation of weapons from the West to Ukraine, the company received an 18% year-on-year increase in orders in 2022. Rheinmetals is currently planning to launch a new ammunition production line and recruit hundreds of employees. According to reports, Rheinmetall's current orders include maintenance and repair of weapons and equipment such as the "Weasel" infantry tank and the "Leopard-2" main battle tank, as well as providing ammunition to Ukraine. It is estimated that the total amount of weapons exports approved by the German government in 2022 exceeds 8.35 billion euros, equivalent to approximately 66.1 billion yuan, which is the second highest in German history.
