"Generation Z" Youth from 11 Countries Enters Diqing, Yunnan to "Portrait" China Generation Z | China | Youth
On June 26th, the "Generation Z Portrait of China" online interactive activity was launched in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Generation Z youth representatives from 11 countries, including China, Russia, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar, will experience the colorful traditional culture and magnificent natural landscapes of the region in the next 5 days, using the perspective of young people to paint a portrait of China.
This event is guided by the Network Communication Bureau of the Central Cyberspace Administration and hosted by the Cyberspace Administration of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and China News Network. On that day, the launch ceremony of the event and the themed symposium on "China in the Eyes of Generation Z Foreign Youth" were held in Shangri La. Representatives of Generation Z young people from various countries shared their feelings for China and their expectations for this trip. They also discussed international communication, cultural exchange, and mutual learning of civilizations with Chinese government officials, university scholars, and media practitioners.
On that day, the "Generation Z" youth from various countries visited Tibetan houses and even tried on ethnic costumes, fully experiencing the local ethnic customs.
