General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong: Vietnam prioritizes the development of relations with China
The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phuc Trong, recently inspected the Friendship Pass on the Vietnam China border in Langshan Province, Vietnam. Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, Xiong Bo, was invited to accompany the inspection.
During the inspection on the 25th, Nguyen Phuc Trong listened to the report on port work and pointed out that only the Vietnam China Friendship - Friendship Pass Port is named after the word "friendship", which reflects the special traditional friendship of "comrades and brothers" between the people of Vietnam and China. The Liangshan Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Government, and Port Functional Departments, together with China, have made important contributions to promoting local friendly cooperation between the two countries, maintaining peace, cooperation, and development in border areas. We will continue to closely cooperate with China to jointly build a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative, and developing border area.
Nguyen Phu Trong said that Vietnam has always attached great importance to and prioritized the development of relations with the Chinese party, government, and people.
Xiong Bo stated that the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam is a precious treasure left to us by the older generation of leaders such as Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh. With the highest leaders of both parties at the helm, we are confident in promoting China Vietnam relations to face the wind and waves, continuously reach new heights, and make greater contributions to the cause of human peace and progress.
After inspecting the port work, Nguyen Phuc Trong invited Xiong Bo and relevant officials of the Vietnamese party, government, and military to plant the Sino Vietnamese Friendship Tree together.
