At the 29th Beijing International Book Fair, "Party History in Fine Arts Classics" was jointly written by China Central Television, the National Museum of China, the National Art Museum of China, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the China Artists Association, and other units. It was published by Zhejiang People's Fine Arts Publishing House and has received widespread attention from all walks of life for its valuable academic value and elegant artistic charm.
The Party History in Art Classics is a large-scale book that reflects the century old history of the Party through art classics. More than a hundred classic red art pieces have been collected and published for the first time, providing a panoramic representation of the magnificent development path of the century long journey. The entire book is edited with "painting as the body and history as the soul", constructing a dual perspective and context of telling party history and interpreting art works, entering party history from art and innovating ways of learning party history.
Zheng Bing, Editor in Chief of Zhejiang People's Fine Arts Publishing House: It involves oil painting, watercolor, woodcut, and woodblock printing, which have different requirements and color matching for all printing, resulting in a huge workload for us to color adjust. The editor followed up for several months before finally determining the perfect printing effect.
The many works included in "The Party History in Art Classics" are scattered and collected in multiple museums, art galleries, and art institutions in China. There are few opportunities for external exhibitions, and it is also difficult to gather them together for exhibition. Each work in the book is accompanied by a QR code, and readers can scan and watch dynamic videos, enjoying the beauty of learning about and understanding the history of the Communist Party.
Kuang Zhengbing, Editor in Chief of Zhejiang People's Fine Arts Publishing House: Using artistic forms to express the history of the Party's struggle, development, and growth, reflecting the process of "how a single spark ignites the prairie". During the reading process, the first thing readers read is an art book. After reading the art book, they learn about the history of the Communist Party of China, and the content of the history of the Communist Party of China subtly enters the reader's mind and heart.
As an art collection with collectible value and a reading material of party history with artistic characteristics, "Party History in Art Classics" has been selected as a key publication of the Propaganda Department's 2022 theme publication, a special funding project of the National Publishing Fund's "Looking Back at the Centenary of the Founding of the Party", and a funding project of the Zhejiang Cultural and Art Development Fund.
