Chen Yongjun is a member of the North Blue Rescue Team in Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province. They set off on the afternoon of August 1st, driving for 16 hours and thousands of miles to rescue Zhuozhou, which was hit by floods. After arriving at 8:18 am on the 2nd, they carried out rescue work under the unified command of the Jiangsu Provincial Blue Sky Rescue Emergency Coordination Center.

In Tong Village, Diaowo Town, the flood swept over the first floor of residential buildings, and stranded villagers waited for rescue on the second floor. In addition, there are many alleys in the village and the terrain is complex, making it easy to form flood whirlpools and making rescue difficult.
"On the way, change people to drive and take turns to rest; on the rescue, take turns to eat and take a break." He Zhibin, deputy leader of Jingjiang Beilan rescue team, said that they had already been used to this rescue rhythm, and so did some team members when they participated in the rescue of the "July 20" extremely heavy rainstorm disaster in Zhengzhou, Henan two years ago.

At around 4am on the 4th, the team members woke up, cleaned up briefly, and drove to Diaowa Town, which was twenty or thirty kilometers away. "It is urgent to search and rescue the missing personnel. At this time, time is life," said He Zhibin.
Eight people, two vehicles, and one assault boat... The Jingjiang North Blue Rescue Team has transported a total of 307 people from heavily affected areas such as Tongcun in Diaowo Town. During this time, He Zhibin remembered the most difficult rescue operation was when an elderly person living on the 6th floor had difficulty moving and had to take turns carrying their backs down the stairs. "The corridor was narrow, and we were worried about bumps and dents. It took us seven or eight people to relay and it took nearly an hour to transfer the elderly person to a safe area," he said
In this support, two emergency management volunteer service forces were deployed in Jingjiang City for rescue, among which the Jingjiang Blue Sky Rescue Team, which arrived first, transferred more than 600 affected people.

With the initial search and rescue work in the local area coming to an end, the Jingjiang Blue Sky Rescue Team and the North Blue Rescue Team have completed their evacuations on the evening of August 4th and the morning of August 5th, respectively. "The people of Zhuozhou held banners, waved the national flag, and shouted in unison 'Thank you for your support, safe journey'," said Zhou Yajun, the captain of the Jingjiang Blue Sky Rescue Team. "Along the way, with the cheers, the scene was really touching. We just did something within our capabilities."
It is understood that in this rush to aid Zhuozhou, the Jiangsu Provincial Blue Sky Rescue Team has dispatched 17 teams, totaling 144 people, to participate in the rescue, and has transferred more than 3500 trapped people.
