Since the beginning of this year, the demand for logistics in society has remained relatively stable, the overall operation of logistics has continued to recover, the synergy between upstream and downstream of the supply chain has continued to improve, and the level of production and sales linkage in industries such as industry and circulation has improved.
From January to July this year, the total amount of social logistics in China was 189.9 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%. The current logistics demand is basically stable, and the cumulative growth rate of social logistics total continues to recover steadily.
Specifically, industrial logistics has maintained a stable recovery trend overall, with logistics demand in most industries maintaining growth and significant structural changes. The dual drive of basic industries and upgrading industries supports the continuous recovery of industrial product logistics. The total amount of raw material manufacturing logistics in July increased by 8.8% year-on-year, which is 2 percentage points faster than June. Especially, the year-on-year growth rate of the steel and petroleum processing industries is around 15%, which has accelerated compared to the previous month. With the extension of the industry towards high-end and the transformation towards green, logistics demand in related fields continues to grow rapidly.

From the perspective of import logistics, the total import logistics volume from January to July was 10.1 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%. Among them, the proportion of energy and raw material import logistics volume is still relatively large, and has recently rebounded. The cumulative year-on-year growth rates of iron ore and its concentrate, crude oil, coal and lignite, and natural gas were 6.9%, 12.4%, 88.6%, and 7.6%, respectively.
In addition, consumer promotion policies have gradually become effective, and people's livelihood consumption logistics continue to steadily recover. From January to July, the total logistics volume of goods between units and residents increased by 10.1% year-on-year, a slight increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to the first half of the year. Online e-commerce logistics continue to be active, with the online retail sales of physical goods in China increasing by 10% year-on-year from January to July, accounting for 0.8 percentage points more than the same period last year in the total retail sales of consumer goods in society. Offline logistics such as catering, department stores, and convenience stores continue to recover. From January to July, the demand for offline retail logistics increased by 7% to 8% year-on-year, and the cumulative total amount of catering related logistics increased by more than 20%.
