CCTV News: According to data released by the Ministry of Commerce today, China's outward investment continued to grow from January to July 2023.
Data shows that from January to July, China's outward non-financial direct investment was RMB 500.94 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18.1%. The non-financial direct investment of Chinese enterprises in the countries along the "the Belt and Road" was 95.34 billion yuan, up 23.2% year on year, accounting for 19% of the total amount in the same period.
From January to July, the completed turnover of contracted foreign projects was RMB 563.76 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%; The newly signed contract amount is 746.36 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%. The turnover of contracted projects undertaken by Chinese enterprises in countries along the "the Belt and Road" is 312 billion yuan, and the newly signed contract amount is 367.23 billion yuan, accounting for 55.3% and 49.2% of the total amount in the same period respectively.
