On June 28th local time, Russian President Putin stated at the plenary session of the Russia Belarus Regional Forum that Russia and Belarus are making every effort to ensure economic stability and avoid the negative impact of sanctions from Western countries.
Putin stated that in the unfavorable external situation and some Western countries refusing to cooperate, Russia and Belarus are vigorously developing counter trade between the two countries. The two countries will focus on domestic demand, which will help stabilize their production and exports.
Belarusian President Lukashenko also stated during the meeting that the consistent position of Belarus will not change, and there are no obstacles or restrictions to trade between Belarus and Russia.
