A woman was looking at her phone on the street when suddenly two men forcibly dragged her onto a van. After receiving a report from a witness, the Qingquan Police Station of Xishui County Public Security Bureau immediately called out. After investigation, the police found out that the woman who was kidnapped was Kong, a woman from Xishui. She falsely claimed to be unmarried and asked others to help introduce her blind date, in order to gain benefits. In mid April this year, Kong was introduced to a man named Wang from Shiyan for a blind date.
"When we first met, Wang was very satisfied with Kong and even bought clothes for her, giving her a gift of 2900 yuan." Investigating police officer Zhang Yuqin explained that Wang also paid the matchmaker 1500 yuan in intermediary fees at that time.
After meeting, Wang and Kong contacted each other through WeChat and made an appointment for the next meeting. "But after chatting for a while, Kong, who lives in Xishui, falsely claimed to be in Shenzhen and ignored Wang. Wang had multiple WeChat chats and videos with her, but was rejected. Later, Kong even blocked his WeChat account."
After being unable to contact Kong, Wang suspected that he had been deceived and wanted to go to Kong's house to recover his economic losses. As Kong ignored him, he decided to find a matchmaker first.
The police found out that on June 7, 2023, Wang called his good friends Wang and Liu and drove together from Wuhan to Luotian County. According to the police, after Kong arrived at the scene, Wang and his friend Liu got off the car and forcefully pulled Kong onto the van, threatening him and demanding a refund of the fee. The negotiations between the two parties were unsuccessful. Wang and others drove Kong away and were later tracked and captured by the police.
