Forty Tibetan children left a legacy in Beijing, among a group of Tibetans
Author: Zhao Yifan, Li Xiaoyu, Liu Yue
In recent days, Beijing has welcomed a special group of guests: 40 Tibetan children from the Yushu Children's Welfare Institute in Qinghai. They came to Beijing from their hometown at an altitude of 4500 meters and were like 40 seeds sown in a strange and fertile soil.
Perhaps the children may not be able to accurately describe what nutrients they will absorb from the soil when they come to Beijing this time, but if you take a closer look, you will observe some small changes.

On International Children's Day, senior high school students made a fuss and pulled hairs to celebrate their 16th birthday in Beijing. The girl has grown to 1.7 meters tall, with thick lower eyelashes in her inner eyes, and she often appears to be smiling.
When asked about her hobbies, she said she likes to read books, such as "To Live" by Yu Hua. After getting a little closer, she will tell you that she also listens to pop music and has a very favorite singer idol. She has also listened to her recently released new album. Although she doesn't quite understand many melodies and lyrics, she just likes them.
These days, she has little time to wear headphones because too many novel sounds have occupied her ears. She remembers the performances of the ethnic song and dance troupe, as well as the cries of the new industrial sports competition.
As a top student in the eyes of teachers, Naozeng Labao has achieved a wish in Beijing: to see what a "real university" really looks like. She made a new wish: besides everyone being healthy, safe, and happy, she also hopes to be admitted to a good university, preferably in Wuhan or Sichuan, and become a good judge in the future.

Another precious thing left to her by Beijing is the photos of many plants in her phone album. She said that the plants in her hometown grow very slowly and have just bloomed recently. When visiting the Forbidden City, she took many photos of willow trees. That was the first time she had seen a willow tree, and she had only seen it in her sister's photo before. "The trees over there at home are all white poplar, straight and straight, unlike the trees in Beijing that bend and grow gently.".

On the way to visit Central University for Nationalities, the accompanying volunteer patted a boy's shoulder and pointed to the roadside, "This is our teaching building, isn't it so high?"

That is the science and engineering building of Minzu University, with a total of 15 floors. The students attend classes in the building, chat in the coffee shop on the first floor, and dance and sing in the large rehearsal room on the second underground floor.
The boy turned his head and looked at the rooftop, stumbling and opening his mouth, making a sound. The glass windows between the floors are shining in the sunlight, and the boy's eyes are also shining. His name is Abin, he is 14 years old this year. After you remember his name, he will wave to you and say hello. The blue bracelet on his hand will slide down his slender wrist to his forearm. There is a circle of Tibetan characters on the bracelet, but he cannot explain the meaning of the words.
His favorite place is the New Factory Sports Ground, and he has visited it twice during his trip. Once I came to play an exchange match with the National Security Youth Team, and the two teams' unfamiliar children became friends at first sight, sweating on the same green field.

The second time is to be a caddy on the Chinese Super League field. Before going on stage, he had to change into Tibetan attire. He carefully hid the blue bracelet in his sleeve, and standing on the side, Naozengla Mao said, "The Tibetan script is from a scripture, meaning to pray for success and peace.".

Sonan Raji, a 12-year-old girl, is very tall. With her collapsed Fried Dough Twists braids, she is half a head taller than boys of the same age.
She tends to press her index and middle fingers between her lips when concentrating, for example, during a visit to a folk song and dance troupe, she would stare at photos of a wall full dance performance for a long time, almost failing to keep up with her companions. And when she finds others staring at her, she will tilt her fingers and cover her mouth with her entire palm, shyly covering the small smile on her face.
She likes bright colors, and the "red" in the Forbidden City is her favorite. She also likes exquisite dance beauty because she wants to become a dancer in the future and learn how to drive, bringing the teachers from the welfare home to her own home. The girl had long been in her heart, secretly treating them as her own parents.

While watching the performance in the National Song and Dance Troupe, Zaxi Dunzhu sang "Watch". The lyrics sing, "My mom always shakes the prayer tube to watch, and my dad always gives me a warm smile." Sonanraji looks at the stage, his eyes reflecting the beautiful light, bright. When she saw the next dance scene and the young man on stage shyly pursuing his lover, she covered her mouth with embarrassment.

When you first meet someone who is beautiful and talented, you will be somewhat impressed by their tall cheekbones and tall stature. He has the most angular face and the gentlest smile. At the entrance of the Forbidden City, he arranges for friends to take photos together and often reminds other children to "remember to say thank you".
Before going to Tiananmen Square to watch the flag raising, he held a handful of Big White Rabbit Milk Candy and gave it to a journalist who had been with him for a day, so that she could run to the front row of the crowd and eat it again. Every time he sees it again, he remembers to pass a candy.

When you ask about this, he will touch his head and shyly admit, saying that he has brought candy to many brothers and sisters. After less than a minute, he would turn back and ask, "So, the journalist brothers and sisters like to eat candy, right?"
On the night of watching the Chinese Super League match, every time the score was anxious, people around him would stare at the field and shout. Nai Meicai Ren would take out his phone and call his roommate at school via video call, "The opportunity is rare, I hope he can also see it."

The teacher of the Yushu football boys is named Dongzhou Wende. He is 33 years old and was an orphan when he was young. He grew up in a welfare institution and has a similar childhood with his young players.
Children usually call him "dad", and he often tells them through his own experiences that everyone should have dreams and make every effort to achieve them. Some of the children who grew up with him in the welfare institution gave up their studies early, but he persisted. "I also want to tell the children that studying hard is the only way to make themselves successful," he said

Leading the team to the new factory, Dongzhou Wende was as excited and nervous as the children. The exchange match between Abin and Guoan Youth showed him the level gap between the two teams, but it was a good thing. He remembers that the children of Guoan praised the Yushu youths as "physically strong and able to run on the field", but there is still room for improvement in passing and stopping the ball, perhaps due to not adapting to the weight difference between grass and football.

Dongzhou Wende said that football in Beijing seems different from theirs, it is very light and "floats when kicked, it really floats.". Before the children's exchange match, he also made a few big kicks on the field of the new factory, "kicking both the left and right feet, kicking two or three times.".
Regarding the dreams of the children, he said he will definitely fully support them, and it doesn't have to be just about studying and taking exams. "It's also great to play football in the future," he said

On the evening of June 2nd, the main screen of the new factory broadcasted the theme video of the "Qinghai Yushu Tibetan Youth Beijing Tour" public welfare activity. In the film, it is introduced that the event is hosted by China News Agency, the People's Government of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province, and the Beijing Youth Aid Command, organized by China News Network, and co organized by China Singapore Public Welfare.
In the picture, many children talk about what they want to do in the future. Most people's desire keywords are "protection". A girl with firm eyes wants to become a judge, and a tall boy wants to become a soldier to defend his country.

The 14-year-old girl Geng Gacuozhong said she wants to become a police officer.
She has a shy courage, and when visiting Central University for Nationalities, she takes the initiative to speak to volunteers. When asked what university she wanted to attend in the future, her eyes lit up and she talked a lot.
Children are all experiencing the university campus up close for the first time. When asked about the impression that universities give people, some children say "big", while Gesuozhong leans against the wall and shyly smiles, saying that he "wants to come to Beijing to attend university" and wants to come to a school like Minzu University. She quietly said that she is currently ranked 15th in the class in terms of grades. In the future, we need to study hard and achieve better results in exams.
When asked what valuable things she got from Beijing, she pursed her lips and smiled before saying, "I met you.". As for what she felt left behind in Beijing, she hasn't figured it out yet. Maybe she thought of it after climbing the Great Wall.
The same question, other children gave different answers. The girl who just celebrated her birthday said she wanted to leave her blessings for Beijing, while the boy who made friends at the event said he left his name in Beijing. The little player who ran over the green field said that he left a legacy for Beijing.
They will not forget Beijing, nor will they forget the wind left by their small wings.
