"Foreign mercenaries are fleeing Ukraine on a large scale" morale | United States | Ukraine
According to TASS News Agency in New York on August 13th, Douglas McGregor, a retired US Army colonel and advisor to the US Secretary of Defense during Trump's presidency, believes that foreign mercenaries are fleeing the Ukrainian armed forces on a large scale.
According to reports, McGregor stated that Ukrainian soldiers are tormented by poor command and demands to "sacrifice themselves for unknown targets.". In a video uploaded to social media, he said, "I think we will eventually see more and more of them surrendering and becoming deserters. The armed forces will eventually disintegrate and collapse."
McGregor emphasized that any armed forces "if they do not achieve any significant results for a period of time, their morale will be low" and they will doubt the necessity of combat operations. He said, "I think we are approaching this moment in Ukraine. Even most of the foreign soldiers who were enthusiastic about fighting for Ukraine have fled. They packed their things and left, leaving only the Poles behind."
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Ukrainian army launched an attack from June 4th but achieved nothing. According to the statistics of the department, the Ukrainian army lost over 43000 soldiers and about 5000 pieces of various equipment in the two month attack, including 26 planes and 25 Panther tanks.
