CCTV News: In the midst of summer and the beauty of China, we first follow the camera to experience the natural and harmonious ecological landscape.
What we see now is Tianjin Zhouhe Wetland Park. Recently, there has been a period of abundant water here, and the cormorant bird population has also entered a breeding and hatching period. Cormorants can be seen leisurely cruising on the lake surface, and the shore is lush with lush trees and lush greenery, creating a vibrant scene everywhere. It is understood that the Zhouhe Wetland is a permanent river and floodplain wetland, with a total area of over 500 hectares. In recent years, local efforts have been made to restore riverbanks, create a diverse living environment for species, and continuously improve the functional protection and testing of wetland areas. At present, 351 species of plants and 131 species of birds such as egrets, falcons, red billed gulls, and bluebirds have been recorded in the wetland park.
Following the camera, we arrived at the Wumeng Grassland in Panzhou City, Liupanshui, Guizhou. At present, the Wumeng grassland, which is in the midst of summer, is lush with water and grass, verdant and lush with herds of cattle and sheep. Looking down from the sky, the misty clouds decorate the grassland in a dreamy way. The highest altitude of the Wumeng grassland is 2857 meters. Due to its location in a high-altitude area, the climate here is suitable and has attracted many tourists to come here for summer vacation. In recent years, the local government has increased its efforts to promote and guide villagers and tourists, and taken measures to limit overgrazing, severely crack down on behaviors such as wild plateau dwarf azaleas and driving over grasslands, protect grassland ecological balance, maintain biodiversity, and ensure the sustainable improvement of the ecological environment of the Wumeng grassland, achieving harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
What we see now is Meiling National Forest Park in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. In the hot summer season, the mountains and waters here are beautiful, the trees are lush, and the peaks, streams, and waterfalls blend with the primitive forest, creating a delightful contrast. Meiling National Forest Park has a forest coverage rate of 81.5%, covering an area of over 160000 acres, and is known for its lush, serene, handsome, and unique scenery. In recent times, Meiling National Forest Park has carried out a survey and research on biodiversity background resources, providing scientific support for biodiversity protection, management, and decision-making in the region, forming a good situation where biodiversity protection promotes green development and promotes harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
At present, lotus flowers are blooming in the Anguo Lake National Wetland Park in Peixian County, Jiangsu Province. From above, red lotus flowers are interspersed with green lotus leaves, creating a beautiful summer scenery. The planned construction area of Anguo Lake National Wetland Park is 517.06 hectares, divided into three functional areas: ecological conservation area, restoration and reconstruction area, and reasonable utilization area, with a wetland rate of 75.84%. It is understood that more than a decade ago, this place was still a coal mining subsidence area. Since 2012, the comprehensive development of areas along the Yellow River has been launched, and wetland parks have been constructed locally. Through ecological governance such as terrain reshaping, water system connectivity, ecological revetment restoration, and vegetation restoration, this area has become a national demonstration zone for ecological restoration of coal mining subsidence areas.
