Affected by heavy rainfall, a landslide occurred in Fuxing Village, Qingxichang Street, Xiushan County, Chongqing on the evening of July 1st, causing road disruptions and trapping 10 migrant workers who urgently needed rescue. After receiving the alarm, the Xiushan County Fire Rescue Brigade immediately dispatched one emergency rescue fire truck and seven firefighters to the scene for rescue.
Due to heavy rainfall, multiple road surfaces were washed away and vehicles were unable to continue moving. Rescue personnel carried rescue equipment and after half an hour of hiking, successfully arrived at the location of the trapped individuals. After confirming that the trapped personnel are in good physical condition, the rescue team immediately escorted everyone to evacuate safely.
On the way back, the fire rescue personnel received a call for help. A large amount of water accumulated around the house due to the rainstorm in a villager's home in Fuxing Village, forming a "isolated island". The water and debris flow continued to impact the house, posing a risk of collapse. Two villagers were trapped in their homes and needed to be moved as soon as possible. Fire rescue personnel immediately went to rescue. After surveying the terrain, two rescue personnel used ropes to cross to reach the location of the trapped villagers. After providing safety protection for the trapped villagers, they successfully rescued the two trapped villagers by using safety ropes to pull them out.
At present, the local government is organizing manpower and machinery to make every effort to repair roads, repair infrastructure such as bridges and protective barriers.
