Sun Yanbiao told reporters that with the continuous high temperature weather, their daily distribution volume has increased by 20% compared to usual. In a street in Chaoyang District, Beijing, the reporter met a full-time delivery rider named Bai Zhaolong. At 10 o'clock in the morning, he had just received the order and hurriedly picked up the medicine from the pharmacy before delivering it to the customer.
Bai Zhaolong told reporters that due to the high temperature and heat in summer, in addition to daily meal delivery, orders for groceries, water, and other items have also increased accordingly. There are nearly 20 orders during the peak hours of noon and evening, and they can hardly stop.
Taking multiple measures to support the "special climate protection umbrella" for the young man
Delivery guys and delivery riders have become the most common outdoor labor groups on the streets in summer. In hot weather, outdoor work can easily cause heatstroke. So, how can their rights and health be protected?
The reporter saw at a heatstroke prevention post station in Beijing that at noon, delivery riders were resting during their free time when delivering orders. There are not only antipyretic and analgesic drugs, antidiarrheal drugs, and heatstroke prevention drugs available here, but also cold drinks, watermelons, and other heatstroke relief meals. There are more than 7000 heatstroke prevention stations like this in China.

Bai Zhaolong told reporters that orders completed during high temperature periods will receive an additional subsidy of 65% per order. The delivery platform is distributing a total of 700 million yuan in high-temperature care funds to millions of riders nationwide. At the same time, in order to facilitate riders to replenish their fluids in a timely manner, starting from mid June, the company also launched a touring cold drink bike that stops in popular commercial districts in cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, and Xi'an, providing free cold drinks and heatstroke prevention supplies for passing riders.
The reporter also learned from multiple express delivery platforms that companies are issuing heatstroke prevention and cooling subsidies in accordance with policy requirements, and flexibly arranging employee rest days to reduce fatigue.
