The person in front of me is not an employee of a logistics company, but a teacher named He Chunwei from the Logistics Department of Beilun Vocational High School in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. She is currently undergoing on-the-job practice as a tallyman. It's summer vacation, and she and over 200 teachers from the school have come to 25 enterprises and project sites to participate in enterprise research and job practice organized by the school.
"Enterprises are one of the main battlefields of vocational education, and vocational education must cultivate talents ahead of the needs of enterprises." said Wu Leilei, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the school. "This is the 12th year of research and practice organized by the school. Teachers' understanding of enterprises helps to update teaching concepts, optimize teaching models, and better cultivate the talents needed by enterprises."
As a regional vocational school, Beilun Vocational High School has always adhered to the scientific analysis and judgment of the employment situation, continuously made efforts in improving the training mechanism, expanding practical channels, improving job quality, and highlighting key assistance. It has launched a special action to visit enterprises, expand positions, and promote employment, and the "four hand joint action" has played a strong role in vocational education employment.
Beilun Vocational High School and Ningbo Vocational and Technical College jointly established Beilun District Intelligent Manufacturing College, taking the lead in the fields of electromechanical technology application and mold design and manufacturing, introducing the German vocational education "dual system" training concept and AHK vocational qualification training model.
To implement collaborative education practices, many regional industry leaders have specially customized job courses for students. The Hilton Yilin Hotel in Ningbo participates in the Beilun Vocational High School Engineering Exchange Double Selection Conference every year, and most of the interns received this year come from the teaching class. The Geely Automobile Chunxiao Manufacturing Base will develop a practical course system that is suitable for the production cycle of enterprises for students who practice in enterprises, and cultivate automotive talents in an "order based" manner.
The dual selection meeting for campus positions is not only a necessary intersection for achieving modern apprenticeship and alternating education, but also a two-way channel for achieving high-quality employment for students and talent screening for enterprises. Recently, the 2023 job dual selection meeting was held at the school's sports and arts museum, and nearly 70 high-quality enterprises such as Haitian Group and Longxing Logistics provided 1124 engineering and learning alternation practical positions for 535 students. Five students from the 21 special class have received practical employment notices from Longxing Logistics and Hefeng Logistics. As registered students in Meigu County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, they have completed 2 years of modern apprenticeship theory in logistics service and management at Beilun Vocational High School. They are about to embark on a new journey of practical work in enterprise positions and will also have the opportunity to stay in Ningbo for further development.
