Chen Youbiao, who graduated from Zhejiang Vocational and Technical College of Commerce, has now become the backbone of the company's business. From an initial intern to a document clerk, construction worker, and technical leader, and now serving as a project leader in Taizhou, Zhejiang, Chen Youbiao's rapid growth was due to his initial enrollment in the Lily Shenghua Order Class.
In 2018, Baihe Shenghua Construction Technology Co., Ltd., the executive chairman unit of Ningbo Home Furnishing Industry Association, cooperated with Zhejiang Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Commerce to establish an order class, and Chen Youbiao became the first student of the order class.
"There is a significant shortage of versatile talents in the transformation of enterprises, and the majors that students study are not particularly in line with our needs." Zhang Liangwu, Chairman of Baihe Shenghua, said that the order class is designed to solve the "dilemma" of difficult enterprise education and difficult student employment.
In the order class, schools and enterprises jointly develop training programs, and quickly enhance students' practical skills through enterprise engineers attending school training, students attending construction sites for practical training, and on-the-job training. At present, the order class has been offered for six sessions and has trained more than 120 students.
"Starting from the development of industries and the needs of enterprises, the deeper the cooperation between industries, associations, and schools, the more advanced the courses jointly trained, and the more practical skills the students trained will have, the better their employment will be," said Yu Ting, President of the Ningbo Home Furnishing Industry Association.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, since the beginning of this year, in order to promote social organizations to play a positive role in helping college graduates find employment, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs has strengthened cooperation between schools, enterprises, and society, guided provincial-level social organizations to actively connect with college employment guidance institutions, and expanded new channels for graduate employment; Mobilize social organizations to combine their own business, carry out employment training, and improve job adaptability; Motivate social organizations to leverage their professional advantages, tap into potential, integrate resources, develop job demands, and assist college graduates in finding employment.
"The association actively develops employment opportunities, expands service space, explores employment needs, and opens up employment positions and sets up internship positions for college graduates," said Jia Huaqin, the president of the Zhejiang Construction Decoration Industry Association.
Fang Xingyu is studying Interior Design at Zhejiang Construction Vocational and Technical College. This summer, while still in her sophomore year, she interned at the "Model Worker Craftsman Innovation Studio" of the Provincial Construction Decoration Industry Association, introduced by her teacher, to experience and understand the industry in advance.
As early as 2012, the association signed a school community cooperation agreement with the college. "The association provides us with opportunities to connect with enterprises through its industry resources and professional knowledge, allowing students to acquire skills and experience that are suitable for their majors during their school years," said He Hui, President of Zhejiang Construction Vocational and Technical College. Through school community cooperation, the Zhejiang Construction Decoration Industry Association has assisted 225 graduates in employment since 2015.
According to statistics, as of the end of 2022, there were 892000 social organizations of all levels and types registered with the civil affairs department nationwide, which is an important force in attracting employment. In the first half of 2023, social organizations across the country jointly released approximately 165000 recruitment positions to college graduates, with more than 73000 actually recruited college graduates. About 100000 employment internship positions were established, and more than 57000 college graduates were actually recruited. More than 25000 employment service activities were carried out, promoting nearly 100000 member units to release 680000 recruitment positions to college graduates.
