At around 23:52 on September 2, 2022, Xiao, driving a small sedan with XiangK license plate, collided with a two wheeled electric vehicle driven by Xie in front of him while driving from south to north at the east gate of Zhushan Park on Jixing Road in Louxing District. Xie's clothes were stuck in the left front corner of the sedan. Xiao fled the scene while driving, causing Xie to be towed by a vehicle and later stopped by the on duty traffic police.
Afterwards, Xie was sent to the hospital for treatment. After identification, Xiao drove a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Xiao has been criminally detained by the public security organs in accordance with the law on suspicion of traffic accidents.
