On July 10th, the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province publicly solicited opinions on the "Food Safety Management Measures for the Aba Prefecture Tourism Market".
In Chapter 3, "Tourism Catering Services", there are many detailed requirements for catering service operators.
As required in Article 25: "If a tourism catering service provider gathers more than 50 people at once, samples shall be kept for each meal in accordance with regulations, with a sample size of no less than 125 grams for each variety. Samples shall be stored in clean specialized containers and refrigeration facilities, and the retention time shall not be less than 48 hours."
Article 27 requires service providers to comply with the following regulations in addition to strictly prohibiting the purchase and use of food and food related products that are explicitly prohibited from production and operation by the Food Safety Law:
It is prohibited to purchase, store, or use nitrite.
It is prohibited to purchase and use bulk Baijiu and bulk edible oil without a qualified inspection report issued by a third party food inspection agency. Bulk Baijiu shall not be stored, transported and sold together with industrial alcohol, liquid alcohol based fuel and other toxic, harmful and easily eaten substances. When using hazardous chemicals such as methanol and propanol as fuel, colors should be added for warning, containers with hazardous chemical labels should be used, and strict management should be implemented to prevent accidental ingestion.
Prohibit the processing and production of high-risk foods such as green beans, fresh yellow cauliflower, and sprouted potatoes.
Prohibit the operation of wild fungi, wild vegetables, wild fruits, and other agricultural products that have no traditional eating habits or may be toxic or harmful to the human body; Traditional wild mushrooms should not be consumed cold. They should be scientifically processed and fried thoroughly before consumption; Multiple mixed processing and simultaneous consumption of multiple wild fungi are not allowed. For a one-time gathering of more than 50 people, except for wild matsutake, only artificially grown fungi can be consumed.
It is prohibited to operate wild animals, animals and plants with unknown sources and uncertain safety, as well as wild fish in the Yangtze and Yellow River basins and natural waters.
