Enhancing Port Relocation Capacity to Help China Europe Express Accelerate
At 10:00 on August 24, a China Europe regular train with 51 containers and goods such as general merchandise, textile fabrics and mechanical accessories left Khorgos railway port and headed for Kolyadzic, Belarus, marking that the number of China Europe regular trains passing through Khorgos railway port exceeded 5000 26 days earlier than last year.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the "the Belt and Road" initiative. Xinjiang railway departments are actively involved in the construction of "one port, two districts, five centers, and port economic belt" opening to the west in the autonomous region. They continue to promote port expansion and transformation, increase hardware investment, optimize software support, strengthen in-depth cooperation, constantly improve the reloading capacity of port stations, and help China Europe trains run out of "acceleration".
Increase hardware investment to make replacement more convenient. The railway department in Xinjiang has strengthened the capacity expansion and renovation of ports, increased hardware investment, and added 1 pair of cargo loading and unloading lines and 10 new and extended arrival and departure lines in 2020. On March 20 of this year, the Alashankou Station loading and unloading yard capacity expansion and renovation project was launched, extending the existing 5 loading and unloading lines in the yard area. At the same time, by utilizing the railway dedicated lines ZDH1 and KDH1 in the comprehensive bonded zone, as well as the intermediate platform, a new indoor container transshipment warehouse will be built with a total construction area of 27200 square meters. The infrastructure will be further improved, and the indoor transshipment warehouse will also reduce the impact of strong winds on transshipment operations.
Optimize software matching to make installation smoother. The railway department in Xinjiang optimizes transportation organization and personnel configuration, implements precise scheduling and command, coordinates the allocation and utilization of interval transportation capacity, reasonably arranges shunting machine operation, train disassembly and vehicle pick-up and delivery alignment, dynamically adjusts container stacking methods, continuously improves loading and unloading efficiency, reduces train station stopping time, and achieves orderly connection of train reception and departure, vehicle disassembly, cargo loading and unloading, forming a smooth and systematic loading and unloading operation mode, and improving the turnover rate of wide and standard gauge trains.
Strengthen deep cooperation to make dressing up more efficient. Part of the return China Europe freight trains have been negotiated multiple times by the China Kazakhstan railway department, adopting a new method of reloading at the delivery port station to further optimize the transportation organization mode of the trains. At the same time, the railway department in Xinjiang actively improves the operational process of changing inbound trains overseas, which involves multiple links such as bills and customs inspection, to ensure the stable operation of the return trains that have completed the change at the delivery port. We have reduced the number of replacement times for the return train and compressed 5.3 hours of work time.
Xinjiang Railway bravely assumes the responsibility of state-owned enterprises, speeds up the construction of port stations, improves infrastructure, precisely schedules and commands, helps the China Europe Express run out of "acceleration", and contributes "railway power" to the high-quality development of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road".
