After trial, it was found that from 2008 to 2018, the defendant Sun Guoxiang took advantage of his position as Acting Mayor and Mayor of Panjin City, Liaoning Province, and Secretary of the Panjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, as well as his own power and position to provide assistance to relevant companies in obtaining bank loans, special funds, and other matters. He illegally received more than RMB 97.65 million from others.

The Intermediate People's Court of Langfang City believes that the defendant Sun Guoxiang's behavior constitutes the crime of bribery, with a particularly large amount and causing significant losses to the interests of the country and the people, and should be punished in accordance with the law.
