Affected by short-term local heavy rainfall, at around 18:00 on August 11th, there was a sudden flash flood and debris flow in Jiwozi Formation, Heiziping Village, Luanzhen Street, Chang'an District, Xi'an City. After preliminary investigation, two residential buildings in the village have been washed away, and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and power supply have been damaged, resulting in 2 deaths and 16 people losing contact. As of now, 4 trapped individuals have been rescued, and the damaged road of the 210 National Highway section from Fengyukou to the scene of the incident has been cleared. Personnel search and rescue, emergency rescue, evacuation, risk elimination, and reinforcement of river embankments are being carried out in an orderly manner.

After receiving the report, the Minister of Emergency Management, Wang Xiangxi, immediately made arrangements, and the leader of the team, Song Yuanming, immediately connected the Shaanxi Provincial Emergency Management Department and the Fire Rescue Brigade at the National Emergency Command Headquarters to dispatch and understand the on-site situation, guide emergency rescue and disposal work.
