Election voting begins! Shang Daman, Huang Guosong, and Chen Qinliang compete for the 9th President of Singapore
At 8:00 am on September 1st, Singapore's presidential election began voting, with over 2.7 million registered voters nationwide choosing Singapore's ninth president from three presidential candidates.
The voting starts at 8:00 am on the 1st and ends at 8:00 am on the same day. Subsequently, the vote counting work will begin. After all vote counting work is completed, the electoral officer will count the number of votes received by each candidate based on the vote counting records. Once confirmed, the electoral officer will announce the candidate's vote results.
Sampling vote counting will be carried out simultaneously with the vote counting work. The Singapore Election Bureau is expected to announce the results of the sample vote count approximately two hours after the vote ends.
The three candidates for this presidential election are Shang Daman, Huang Guosong, and Chen Qinliang.
