Data shows that in 2022, the per capita net income of the poverty-stricken population was 14342 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%. The per capita disposable income of rural residents in poverty-stricken areas was 15111 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%, with growth rates 8 and 1.2 percentage points higher than the per capita disposable income of rural residents in China, respectively.
However, it should also be soberly recognized that the foundation for sustained recovery and development of the domestic economy still needs to be consolidated, and promoting sustained and rapid income growth of the poverty-stricken population faces many uncertain, unstable, and unpredictable factors. Therefore, we must maintain a sense of responsibility and urgency that we can never rest assured of at all times, and work tirelessly, meticulously and solidly, without any carelessness or complacency. Recently, the prices of agricultural products such as beef, mutton, and meat in some provinces have shown a downward trend, putting greater pressure on the stable employment of poverty-stricken laborers. After entering summer, natural disasters such as floods have occurred in some areas, posing many challenges to the sustained income growth of poverty-stricken people. It is indeed necessary for relevant departments to deploy relevant work in a timely manner.
To promote the continuous increase in income of the poverty-stricken population, the next step is to promote stable employment and increase wage income. Promote the improvement of quality and efficiency in the assistance industry, and stabilize operating income. Effectively leverage the asset benefits of poverty alleviation projects and ensure property income. Timely implement assistance policies and increase transfer income. For example, the eastern region can guide enterprises to increase their efforts in job development, deepen labor cooperation, and find ways to stabilize the poverty-stricken population in enterprises and local areas, as well as in job positions and income. Targeted vocational skills training can be carried out in the central and western regions to enhance the employment competitiveness of the poverty-stricken population, improve the degree of labor export organization, and make every effort to broaden employment channels, so as to ensure the employment of the poverty-stricken population within the province and locally.
Promoting the sustained increase in income of the poverty-stricken population is not only an important task, but also a significant political task with great significance and responsibility.
