Continuous heavy rainfall has caused severe flooding in Shulan City, Jilin Province. In order to ensure the safety of the people's lives, Shulan City carried out two preventive and emergency transfers, with a total of 18916 people transferred.

When the reporter saw Sun Cai, a villager from Xinkai Village, Kaiyuan Town, Shulan City, he and his family were resting on the bed.
"We haven't seen such a large amount of water in all these years. At first, we had resistance to evacuation and thought that a rain could be bad, thanks to the village cadres' tireless work." Recalling the process of transferring to the temporary resettlement site, Sun Cai still felt scared.
"I had a great morning meal, stewed with potatoes and meat. During difficult times, I felt very satisfied with having such a dish," said Zhang Wanxiang, a villager from Wudi Village, Kaiyuan Town, Shulan City, who was also in this resettlement site.

The flood situation caused some villages in Shulan City, Jilin Province to be flooded and roads to be interrupted. In order to ensure the supply of resettlement materials, Shulan City has used helicopters to air drop disaster relief supplies to the affected areas where transportation cannot be restored, providing emergency supplies such as water and food to residents.

At the resettlement site in Jinma Town, Shulan City, the reporter saw pure water, instant noodles, and other materials neatly stacked together. This resettlement site has a total of 75 rooms and 92 villagers are staying.
"The bed and bedding are ready, and we can move in directly. If you have any needs, just let the staff know," said Guo Jun, a transferred resident.
The local area is ensuring the basic living needs of the disaster stricken population, such as food, through truck transportation and other forms, and providing hygiene, dietary, medical and other services to ensure that the disaster stricken population has enough to eat and live warmly during the disaster period.
