The Shenzhou-16 astronaut crew is a new combination of three types of astronauts: commander, space flight engineer, and payload expert. Since entering the station, facing heavy space science experimental tasks, the crew quickly adapted to the environment and entered a state, carrying out a series of space science experiments in the fields of life ecology, space microgravity physics, etc., and participated in the installation of the space radiation biology exposure experimental device for the Dream Sky experimental module and the gas cylinder for the space station electric propulsion system. Among them, the biological exposure experiment of extravehicular radiation was conducted for the first time in China. Using this radiation device for research will provide strong support for radiation damage, genetic variation, radiation protection drug preparation, and radiation risk biological assessment of human organisms.
