There is a heartwarming scene in the flood disaster in Zhuozhou, Hebei: Xici Village in Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province is the village that was severely affected by the flood. Currently, the water level there is gradually falling, and the villagers have started to recover and rebuild.
Starting from August 4th, several volunteers from Zhengding, Shijiazhuang, traveled over 200 kilometers with pots, stoves, and vegetables to provide a warm meal for the affected villagers.
At around 2 pm on August 6th, at the entrance of Xici Village in Zhuozhou, Hebei Province, although lunchtime had just passed, several volunteers began preparing dinner again, and many villagers helped to peel and cut vegetables.
Volunteer Fan Da: Tofu, eggplant, zucchini... mainly vegetables, which means eating more vegetables, noodles, and some meat. You can also drink soup and eat vegetables.
This quick working young man's name is Fan Da. He opened a restaurant in Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang. On the evening of the 4th, Fan Da saw the serious disaster situation in Zhuozhou and decided to leave and do his part.
Volunteer Fan Da: I just want to put on a pot, a stove, make a hot rice, a hot big pot dish, and warm the hearts of the people in the disaster area.
Fan Da subsequently released a short video preparing to depart, which quickly received a response from many kind-hearted individuals.
Volunteer Fan Da: Sent it after 3am, contacted me after 4am, and then it didn't stop for the day. Received over 70 phone calls, and over 40 compassionate individuals donated money and materials. Yesterday, we had two 4.2-meter cargo boxes and filled two carts. There are slippers, sanitary napkins, and toilet paper items, but I feel like very few people donate them. One of our classmates started a slipper factory and donated 400 pairs of slippers, which surprised me a lot. I didn't expect me to post a video of so many people helping and so many people caring.
In the morning of that day, Fan Da and more than ten kind-hearted people rushed to the severely affected Diaowo Town in Zhuozhou with a large amount of supplies. After donating supplies to multiple villages, Fan Da set up a stove at the entrance of Xici Village. Noon hot noodles, dinner big pot vegetables, and soon all the vegetables brought were eaten by nearby villagers.
Zou Zhenqiang, a party member of Xici Village, Zhuozhou City: The villagers have been severely affected by the disaster, with livestock, family property, and everything incomplete. Anyone from neighboring villages and streets can eat here. These masters are from Zhengding, bringing water, vegetables, gas, and personnel all in place. We are very grateful after seeing them.
Xici Village is adjacent to the Baigou River and the disaster situation is also very serious. In recent days, more and more villagers have returned home and cleaned up their water houses, with over 200 people needing to eat every day. After a busy day, Fan Da returned to Zhengding overnight and prepared new ingredients. At noon on the 6th, Fan Da and two other volunteers arrived again with hundreds of pounds of vegetables.
Cooking outdoors in the hot weather, guarding the hot stove, Fan Da and the affected villagers washed vegetables, cooked oil, fried tofu, and fried chicken together, in order to make the villagers feel at home.
Next to the village where Fan Da is located, the donation point in Xizi Village is also very busy, with continuous vehicles bringing donation materials.
