According to the announcement, Ding Wei, male, Han ethnicity, born in May 1977, is a graduate student and a member of the Communist Party of China. He is currently the Deputy Mayor of Nanning City People's Government and intends to further use his position as a deputy department level leader in a district or city.
According to the official website of the Nanning Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Ding Wei has been appointed as a member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the Nanning Municipal Committee.
According to the open resume, Ding Wei joined the CPC in January 2000 and started working in July 2000. He graduated from Guangxi University in July 2004 as a full-time postgraduate majoring in philosophy of science and technology with a master's degree in philosophy. In March 2012, he graduated from Central South University as an on-the-job postgraduate majoring in management science and engineering with a doctor's degree in management.
Ding Wei worked successively at the Development and Reform Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Railway Construction Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in his early years. Starting from 2012, Ding Wei came to the local area and initially served as a member of the Standing Committee and Deputy County Mayor of Shanglin County in Nanning City. Later, he became the Director of the Nanning Development and Reform Commission. In April 2020, Ding Wei was promoted to the position of Deputy Director of the Wuxiang New Area Planning and Management Committee at the deputy department level, and continued to serve as the Director of the Nanning Development and Reform Commission.
In September 2021, Ding Wei was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Nanning City and stepped down as the Director of the Nanning Development and Reform Commission in January of the following year.
