On June 16th, Upstream News learned that the case had recently undergone its second official trial at the Beijing Intellectual Property Court. Global Bona Chairman Asheng stated that the trial of this case by the Beijing Intellectual Property Court has been fully concluded, and the plaintiff stated in court that they do not agree to mediation. The court will announce the verdict on this case at a later date.
According to Upstream News, "Chengdu Global Bona v. Liu Dehua and Ten other defendants are suspected of plagiarism. The plaintiff claims 100 million yuan and Liu Dehua did not appear in court." Previously, on the afternoon of February 1st, the first trial of the case was held at the Beijing Intellectual Property Court. The ten defendants were Liu Dehua, Huanyu Entertainment Co., Ltd., Guangdong Shengge Media Co., Ltd., Yindu Institution Co., Ltd., Yingyi Entertainment Co., Ltd., Sun Entertainment Culture Co., Ltd., Beijing Herui Film Culture Co., Ltd., Qiu Moutao, Li Mou1, and Li Mou2. The focus of this court hearing is mainly on whether "Perfect Lover" was created earlier than "Anti Drug 2", and whether "Anti Drug 2" is suspected of plagiarism. A Sheng presented 95 pieces of evidence to the court and presented a nearly 40 minute "plagiarism comparison video" of the film involved, showing a total of 16 specific details of 196 points of plagiarism. Defendant Andy Lau did not appear in court, and was specially authorized by his lawyer to appear in court.

Recently, the case underwent its second formal trial at the Beijing Intellectual Property Court. Upstream News reporters learned that this trial was aimed at expressing an opinion on the plaintiff's "16 major points, 203 points of plagiarism". The defendant denied plagiarism and claimed that the plaintiff's "Perfect Lover" is a "romantic film" and "Anti Drug 2" is a police and bandit film, and it is impossible to plagiarize a romantic film. The plaintiff submitted a notice of approval from the Shanghai Public Security Bureau for the establishment of the "Perfect Lover" in court.
