Cuban Foreign Minister: The US launches a new round of "spreading rumors" against Cuba
On June 12th local time, Cuban Foreign Minister Rodriguez issued a statement regarding the US's claim that China is building "spy facilities" in Cuba, stating that this is "false information" and a new round of "spreading rumors" by the US against Cuba.
Rodriguez said that the US claim is "unfounded" and the purpose is to use it as an excuse to maintain the long-term economic blockade and extreme pressure policies against Cuba in recent years.
He stated that Cuba does not pose a threat to the United States or any other country, while the United States' policy towards Cuba threatens and punishes the Cuban people on a daily basis. He pointed out that the United States has dozens of military bases in Latin America and the Caribbean, and illegally occupies part of the territory of Guantanamo Province in Cuba and establishes military bases against the will of the Cuban people.
Rodriguez emphasized that the United States has long been hostile to Cuba and has launched multiple rumor making actions against Cuba.
