38 teachers and students from the School of Management of Taiwan University arrived in Beijing on the 25th to participate in the 2023 "Peking University Guanghua School of Management - Taiwan University School of Management Cross Strait Elite Exchange Camp". This is the first time that the "Cross Strait Elite Exchange Camp" has resumed due to the interruption of the epidemic for three years.
Two days later, a delegation of 38 teachers and students from Taiwan University arrived in Beijing for visits and exchanges. Cross Strait exchanges and visits are becoming more and more frequent, and young people on both sides are getting closer and closer.
Professor Wang Bo, Vice President of Peking University, delivered a speech at the welcome banquet, stating that as Secretary Hao Ping pointed out, the two sides share the same roots and roots, and blood is thicker than water. The emotions between the two sides cannot be melted. I believe that both the visit of mainland Chinese university teachers and students to Taiwan and the "Cross Strait Elite Exchange Camp" are of great significance in promoting two-way exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
"The exchange camp activities are like a bridge, bringing teachers and students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait together from all directions." Wang Bo said, "This is a bridge of friendship, through which we can root the seeds of friendship on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, encourage young teachers and students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to exchange more, and enhance mutual trust and love."; This is a bridge of cooperation, through which we conduct academic exchanges and discussions, conduct in-depth visits to enterprises in both regions, further deepen cooperation, and jointly create a better future.
It is reported that in mid July, 37 teachers and students from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University went to Taipei, Kaohsiung and other places for exchange and training. They visited multiple companies on site and discussed the development of sustainable management theory and practice around global environmental, social, and corporate governance issues.
Xiao Bohan, a student at Peking University Guanghua School of Management, said that this trip to Taiwan for exchange has made many Taiwanese friends, gained valuable friendships, and conducted in-depth visits to enterprises, gaining first-line insights. "In Taiwan, students from National Taiwan University warmly welcomed us; now that they have arrived in mainland China, students from Peking University also want to make Taiwanese friends feel our meticulous care."
"Through our interactions in Taiwan, we have become very good friends with our Peking University classmates," said Chen Zhao'an, a student at the School of Management at Taiwan University. Although they are across the Taiwan Strait, students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait are of similar ages and specialize in the same major, and many issues can be discussed and exchanged. This time visiting mainland China, he is most looking forward to his visit to the Forbidden City and seeing the exquisite buildings and cultural relics that often appear on television with his own eyes.
In the next week, teachers and students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait will visit and learn in Beijing and Chengdu, experience Chinese civilization and Winter Olympics culture, experience the development of autonomous driving technology and smart transportation system, and witness the fruitful achievements of rural revitalization.
