Protecting human rights and promoting equality are the common ideals of all humanity. A safe and peaceful environment, a driving force for development and progress, and a fair and just order are important prerequisites for the sustainable advancement of the global human rights cause. For a long time, while vigorously promoting the development of China's human rights cause, China has contributed its strength to the world's human rights cause with the sentiment of building its own talents and benefiting the world. It has always been a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development, a maintainer of international order, and a promoter of human civilization.
China insists on safeguarding human rights through security and contributing to the peaceful environment that safeguards global human rights. From proposing the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, to playing a constructive role in promoting political solutions to hot issues in regions such as Iran, Syria, South Sudan, Afghanistan, and Ukraine, from firmly supporting and actively participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations, to actively participating in international arms control and disarmament processes, and joining dozens of international arms control treaties and mechanisms such as the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, China has always been an important guardian of world peace.Since February this year, China has successively released documents such as the Global Security Initiative Concept Paper, China's Position on Political Resolution of the Ukrainian Crisis, and China's Position on the Afghanistan Question, enriching and expanding the connotation of the Global Security Initiative. Since March this year, Saudi Arabia and Iran have resumed diplomatic relations under the mediation of China, leading to a wave of reconciliation in the Middle East. As Belarusian President Lukashenko said, "China is the cornerstone of maintaining world peace.".
China adheres to promoting human rights through development and contributes to strengthening the development foundation of global human rights protection. Development is the foundation of human rights protection and the key to achieving people's happiness. China not only provides support and assistance to developing countries and regions in areas such as infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture, but also enhances the independent development capabilities of developing countries through development cooperation. China has established and implemented aid projects through channels such as the Global Development and South South Cooperation Fund and the China United Nations Peace and Development Fund, benefiting millions of people from over 100 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and other regions. Since the the Belt and Road Initiative was put forward ten years ago, it has attracted more than three quarters of the countries and more than 30 international organizations in the world, boosted the investment scale of nearly trillion dollars, formed more than 3000 cooperation projects, created 420000 jobs for countries along the Belt and Road, and helped 40 million people out of poverty. This major initiative has gathered international consensus to promote cooperation and accelerate the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, and has received support from more than 100 countries and international organizations. Nearly 70 countries have participated in the "Global Development Initiative Friends Group" established on the United Nations platform. UN Secretary General Guterres described the global development initiative as "timely" and stated that the UN is willing to cooperate with China to promote implementation together with other countries.
China adheres to promoting human rights through cooperation and contributes to the exchange and mutual learning of different human rights civilizations. After long-term exploration, China has successfully embarked on a human rights development path that conforms to the trend of the times and is suitable for its own national conditions. The development path of human rights in China is an important embodiment of the socialist path with Chinese characteristics in the field of human rights, enriching and developing human rights civilization, and providing reference for global human rights governance. This major initiative focuses on strengthening cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and building consensus through dialogue. It is a new and important contribution made by China to improve global governance and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. From holding the Asian Civilization Dialogue Conference, to holding the high-level dialogue between the CPC and the world political parties, to proposing the global civilization initiative, China in the new era has always been committed to providing a platform for equal dialogue, inclusiveness and mutual learning among civilizations.
China has always supported developing countries in safeguarding their own interests and contributing to the justice and fairness of global human rights governance. There is no perfect "ideal country" on human rights issues, and there is no need for a human rights "teacher" to dictate human rights to other countries. Moreover, human rights issues cannot be politicized or instrumentalized, and double standards should be applied, using human rights as an excuse to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. China has always opposed self superiority and bullying the weak, advocated fairness, justice, and win-win cooperation, advocated combining the universality and particularity of human rights, respected the right of people of all countries to independently choose their own human rights development path, and maintained the democratization and rule of law of international relations. As an important member of the international community, China exercises its rights in accordance with the law, upholds fairness and justice, and has repeatedly made joint statements on behalf of countries with similar views at the United Nations Human Rights Council, exposing human rights violations by a few Western countries, and firmly opposing bullying practices such as economic blockades and financial sanctions by some countries against other countries. China firmly defends international fairness and justice, and effectively promotes the healthy and orderly development of global human rights governance.
Stand on the right side of history and on the side of human progress. In the new journey of comprehensively building a socialist modernized country, China actively promotes the common values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy, and freedom for all mankind, promotes the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind, and will undoubtedly make new and greater contributions to the development of the world's human rights cause.
