According to Reuters Moscow, Russian President Putin said on June 13th that Russia is considering withdrawing from the Black Sea Grain Initiative. He stated that Russia has been "deceived" in the implementation of some agreements related to its own exports.
According to reports, Putin said in a television conference with pro Russian war zone journalists that the agreement aims to help "friendly" countries in Africa and Latin America, but Europe is the largest importer of Ukrainian food, which is becoming an important source of foreign exchange for Ukraine.
Putin said he will discuss the future of this food agreement with some African leaders expected to visit Russia, and stated that Russia is prepared to provide free food to the world's poorest countries.

After the outbreak of the conflict between Russia-Ukraine conflict last February, the export of agricultural products from Ukraine and Russia via Black Sea ports was disrupted. Last July, through the mediation of the United Nations and Türkiye, Russia and Ukraine signed a parallel agreement on resuming the export of agricultural products from Black Sea ports. The agreement allows for the export of food from several Black Sea ports in Ukraine to provide security.
The report states that the West has not imposed sanctions on Russia's grain and other food exports, but restrictions in insurance and other areas have hindered exports.
