Volodyn stated that many members of Wagner have agreed to follow Putin's proposal and sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense to become regular troops. "Putin explained the real situation in detail to the Wagner warriors and suggested that those who want to defend Russia continue to serve and stay on the Ukrainian battlefield. As far as I know, many people agree with this."
Volodyn also stated that the peaceful end of the Wagner incident demonstrated the stability of Putin's power to the world. After the rebellion, Wagner's movements in Belarus drew attention.
Reuters reported on the 29th that according to satellite images obtained by the media, multiple new facilities have appeared at a military base in the southeast of the Belarusian capital Minsk, which seems to be related to Wagner, suggesting that the organization is rapidly establishing a base in Belarus.
In recent days, the resolution of the Wagner incident and Prigoren's visit to Belarus have raised concerns among some Western countries, especially NATO member states located in Eastern Europe. There are reports that Belarus is building a Wagner camp that can accommodate 8000 people about 200 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. However, Lukashenko denies this.
It is said that the White Party provided an abandoned military camp with walls and other facilities, and Wagner could build his own tent. Lukashenko stated that if they need it, Belarus will help them stay for a period of time, but the related costs will be borne by Wagner.
Lukashenko said in a meeting with the country's Defense Minister Khlenin that Belarus needs Wagner personnel for "pragmatic" reasons, as they can share their combat experience with Belarusian soldiers.
