In accordance with the requirements of the national teleconference on combating the new type of crimes committed by telecommunications networks and the deployment of the national public security organs for public security crackdowns in summer, the Ministry of Public Security recently organized a regional battle against telecommunications network fraud in "Hubei, Hunan, Shandong, Shandong and Henan", directed the public security organs in Shandong, Henan, Hubei and Hunan provinces to carry out a simultaneous concentrated attack, successfully captured a large number of fraud related suspect, destroyed more than 3300 criminal dens, seized 104000 mobile phones, computers, "two cards" and other crime tools, and seized more than 58 million yuan of assets involved in the case, such as cash and virtual currency, which achieved fruitful results.
Currently, telecommunications network fraud cases are frequent and seriously damage the property security and legitimate rights and interests of the people. The Ministry of Public Security attaches great importance to this and has organized relevant police departments and professional forces to establish a work team, mobilize national advantageous resources, conduct in-depth research on crime techniques, and determine more than 50000 clues related to telecommunications network fraud, "score running" money laundering, promotion and drainage, technology development, and the buying and selling of "two cards" and other types of fraud and criminal activities. On the basis of mastering relevant criminal facts and evidence, the Ministry of Public Security held a deployment meeting and organized the public security organs of Shandong, Henan, Hubei, and Hunan provinces to carry out a concentrated crackdown on the "Hubei Hunan Shandong Henan" regional battle, successfully eliminating a large number of criminal gangs engaged in telecommunications network fraud and black and gray industry criminal gangs that provided assistance, and severely cracking down on the arrogance of criminals.
It is understood that since last year, the Ministry of Public Security has organized several regional battles to crack down on illegal and criminal activities of telecom network fraud. More than 5100 criminal dens have been eliminated, a large number of criminal gangs providing support services for overseas fraud groups, such as organization of illegal immigration, promotion and diversion, technology development, money laundering by transfer, etc., and a large number of returned overseas fraud dens and suspect engaged in various types of black ash products have been severely punished according to law, effectively purifying the social security environment.
