The Yarmuk military factory is the largest weapons and ammunition factory in Sudan, with a nearby fuel warehouse storing large amounts of gasoline and natural gas, as well as an armored camp for the Sudanese Armed Forces. Since the evening of the 6th, both sides of the conflict have been engaged in continuous fighting in the area, using weapons and equipment such as fighter jets, heavy artillery, and drones.
Local residents say this is the most intense battle between the two sides in weeks. The rapid support forces once captured some areas of the Yarmuk military factory, but the Sudanese armed forces subsequently increased their reinforcements to the area and regained control of the factory. At present, the competition between the two sides is still ongoing.

On the 7th, the fighting between the two sides triggered an explosion and fire in the fuel warehouse, and the fire was not completely extinguished until the evening of the 8th. Due to the large amount of oil and gas stored in the warehouse, nearby residents are concerned that if the fire spreads, the consequences will be unimaginable.
