Starting from Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, we travel eastward through most of Java Island. In the small town of Morifen in East Java Province, there is the Indonesian Railway Institute under the Ministry of Transportation. The first batch of operation and maintenance personnel training courses for the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Railway, the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia, are being held here.
The training will start at the end of February, with a total of 173 Indonesian students, taught by the Chinese operation and maintenance management team and Chinese railway professional colleges. The focus is on training four professional positions: high-speed train drivers, high-speed train mechanics, operation control center dispatchers, and emergency duty personnel. Students from different majors receive theoretical training here for a period of 3 to 6 months.

The reporter recently arrived at the Indonesian Railway Institute by train. In class, students and Chinese teachers are having a video connection for the class. Teachers conduct online teaching in Chinese within China, and two translators interpret the teaching content into Indonesian on site. If students encounter any questions they don't understand, they can ask questions online. In addition, the Chinese side has arranged more than 10 written translators to translate Chinese lesson plans and courseware into Indonesian in advance for students to preview.
