Classify misaligned resources into different categories. Garbage classification | Garbage | Resources
Previously, there was a basket, but now there are four buckets; In recent years, China's garbage classification work has continued to deepen. 297 cities at or above the prefecture level have fully implemented household garbage classification, and the average coverage rate of residential communities has reached 82.5%. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development recently stated that it aims to achieve a garbage classification coverage rate of over 90% in residential areas of prefecture level and above cities by the end of this year, and basically achieve full garbage classification coverage by the end of 2025.
The garbage problem is not a minor issue. For example, some rural household waste dumped by the river can pollute the river and soil; For example, in some cities, the land for landfills is tight, and there is almost no place to dispose of garbage. The environmental problems caused by garbage have become one of the pain points in urban and rural development. Implementing garbage classification is not only a small matter around us, but also a major issue related to the level of social civilization, and a practical matter in promoting green transformation and development.
To do things well, one must follow the rules. From the perspective of "classification can generate value", garbage classification treatment has two functions: reducing pollution and recycling.
Let's first look at the work of reducing pollution. In Changping, Beijing, the intelligent household waste sorting station has been put into use, which not only facilitates the public but also improves the level of refined waste sorting management; In Hangzhou, Zhejiang, a dedicated smart account for garbage classification has been opened for residents, using a points system to assist in garbage classification... The construction of urban garbage treatment facilities has been promoted according to local conditions, and a good atmosphere of everyone participating in garbage classification has gradually formed.
Looking at the results of recycling. Garbage classification is a product of the development of production and life at a certain stage. Whether it is classification and disposal, collection, transportation, or treatment, all aspects should be done well and require strong support from various regions. Data shows that currently, 297 prefecture level and above cities have a daily garbage processing capacity of 530000 tons, and the level of urban garbage resource utilization has achieved significant improvement.
Of course, while garbage classification has achieved certain results, there are still some problems. For example, some citizens have not yet developed the habit of classified advertising, and there are occasional cases of mixed wet and dry advertising; In some places, there is a one size fits all approach and formality in promoting garbage classification; The classification, collection, transportation, incineration, and landfill systems for household waste are still incomplete; Wait a minute.
Next, efforts need to be made to improve the quality and efficiency of garbage classification work, achieving a shift from "having" to "not being good". In response to the problems of insufficient resource utilization and immature industrial chain development, relevant departments can also innovate institutional mechanisms to attract more social capital to participate.
It is worth mentioning that source control is indispensable. From individual response to the "Clean Your Plate Campaign" to relevant enterprises reducing the provision of disposable products, to relevant departments formulating green standards for packaging materials, all parties can work together to "subtract" from the source of waste generation, which can reduce the pressure on waste classification and achieve twice the result with half the effort. This requires the whole society to form a green living concept and contribute to sustainable development together.
