Recently, with the increasing number of Chinese tourists coming to Fiji, our museum has received reports of Chinese citizens who have been punished and fined excessively for carrying prohibited items or exceeding the amount of cash specified by the Fiji government while entering or passing through Fiji, affecting their travel itinerary and experience.
In view of this, the Chinese Embassy in Fiji reminds compatriots in Fiji to pay special attention to the following points:
1. If you carry more than 10000 Feiji dollars in cash or other currencies of equivalent value at your entry and exit, you must declare truthfully.
Please do not carry or consign animals and plants and their products that are prohibited by the Philippine government, mainly fresh fruits and vegetables, seeds, meat, eggs, milk and their products, honey, rice and cereals, nuts, Chinese herbal medicine, etc.
Please fill in the entry and exit cards of Fiji carefully and item by item. if you carry relevant items, you should declare truthfully, do not take any chances, so as not to be punished or bear the legal consequences.
Fourth, when entry and exit or transit is blocked, we should actively cooperate with Fiji to deal with it in accordance with the rules and regulations, and do not try to use illegal means to solve the problem.
In addition, in order to avoid losses due to unfamiliarity with Fijian laws, compatriots in Lvfei must carefully read the Consular reminder from the Embassy in Fiji to compatriots in Fiji and the Guide to Consular Protection and Assistance of the Chinese Embassy in Fiji, and strictly abide by Fijian laws and immigration regulations.
