Chinese citizens are punished for releasing drones! Chinese Embassy Reminds Citizens | Rwanda | Drones
According to the website of the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda on the 25th, recently, Chinese citizens have been severely punished for violating Rwandan laws and regulations by releasing drones.
According to Rwandan law, drones and drone users are required to register and apply for licenses with the Rwandan Civil Aviation Authority, and drone user licenses are only applicable to citizens or permanent residents of Rwanda. In addition, before flying the drone, a separate flight permit must be applied for from the Civil Aviation Administration of Lu before it can fly. Anyone carrying a drone into Rwanda must declare to the National Police of Rwanda. Those who fail to declare or use drones in accordance with legal requirements will be punished by Lu's laws and regulations. Please refer to the relevant legal requirements for drones on the website of the Rwandan Civil Aviation Administration for details.

The Chinese Embassy in Rwanda reminds Chinese citizens and enterprises who are in or planning to visit Rwanda to enhance their legal awareness and comply with various laws and regulations of the Rwandan side, including drones. When encountering normal law enforcement by the Lu law enforcement department, we should actively cooperate. If law enforcement officers exhibit rude and unfair behavior, they must be treated rationally and calmly, avoiding extreme or irrational behavior, and paying attention to preserving evidence in order to protect their rights in accordance with the law. In case of emergency, please report to the police immediately and contact the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda.
