Wang Yifang, director of the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced that the eXTP project of the enhanced X-ray time-varying and polarized space observatory, a new generation of space science satellites in China, is steadily advancing, which is a major international cooperative space science project initiated and led by Chinese scientists. This satellite will be the successor of China's first space telescope "Insight" satellite in the future, and its comprehensive performance is expected to reach more than 100 times the detection capability of the "Insight" satellite.

We hope to launch it around 2027, which is also a project that we have prepared for many years, and will start formal construction soon.
It is reported that the high-energy synchrotron radiation light source for major national scientific and technological infrastructure is expected to be accepted and put into operation in 2025. After completion, it will be the first high-energy synchrotron radiation light source in China and one of the brightest fourth generation synchrotron radiation light sources in the world. In addition, the construction of the second phase of the scattered neutron source located in Guangdong is currently under planning and is expected to commence within this year.
