CCTV News: The General Administration of Customs announced on June 7th that in the first five months, China's foreign trade imports and exports increased by 4.7% year-on-year, achieving stable growth.
According to customs statistics, the total value of China's foreign trade imports and exports in the first five months of this year was 16.77 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%. Among them, exports reached 9.62 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%; Imports reached 7.15 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%.

Customs statistics show that in the first five months of this year, ASEAN continued to be China's largest trading partner, with imports and exports of 2.59 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%, accounting for 15.4% of China's total foreign trade value. Import and export to the European Union reached 2.28 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%. Over the same period, imports and exports to countries along the "the Belt and Road" reached 5.78 trillion yuan, up 13.2% year on year, including 44% to Kazakhstan and other five Central Asian countries. Import and export to other RCEP member countries reached 5.11 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%.
In the first five months, the export of "new three types" products such as electric passenger vehicles, lithium batteries, and solar cells grew rapidly, driving the overall growth of China's exports by 2 percentage points. The import of energy and resource products, as well as consumer goods such as dried and fresh fruits and edible water products, saw a significant increase.
