The report shows that as of June this year, in terms of basic network resources, the total number of domain names in China was 30.24 million, the number of active IPv6 users reached 767 million, the number of Internet broadband access ports reached 1.11 billion, and the total length of optical cable lines reached 61.96 million kilometers. In terms of mobile network development, the total number of mobile phone base stations in China has reached 11.29 million, of which 2.937 million have been built and opened up, accounting for 26% of the total number of mobile base stations; The accumulated mobile Internet traffic reached 142.3 billion GB, up 14.6% year on year; Mobile Internet applications are booming. The number of active APPs monitored in the domestic market has reached 2.6 million, further covering the daily study, work and life of Internet users. In terms of the development of the Internet of Things, three basic telecommunications companies have developed 2.123 billion cellular IoT terminal users, a net increase of 279 million compared to December last year, continuously consolidating the foundation of the Internet of Things.
The report shows that in the first half of the year, various Internet applications in China continued to develop, and the number of users of various applications increased to a certain extent. As of June, the number of instant messaging, online video, and short video users reached 1.047 billion, 1.044 billion, and 1.026 billion, respectively. The user base of ride hailing, online travel booking, and online literature increased by 34.92 million, 30.91 million, and 35.92 million respectively compared to December last year, becoming the three fastest growing applications in terms of user base.
