China Life Insurance welcomes female chief actuary born in the 1980s
The management team of China Life Insurance has multiple "filling positions".
On the evening of August 4th, China Life Insurance Co., Ltd. issued a board resolution announcement, involving the change of president, nomination of vice president, director, chief actuary, audit leader, etc.
The announcement states that due to job changes, Zhao Peng has submitted his resignation to the company and appointed Li Mingguang as the company's president. His qualifications for the position are yet to be approved by the State Administration of Financial Supervision and Administration. Previously, Zhao Peng had been appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and proposed President of China Life Insurance Corporation, while Li Mingguang also served as the Party Secretary of China Life Insurance Corporation.
Due to job adjustments, Li Mingguang no longer serves as the Chief Actuary of China Life Insurance. China Life Insurance nominated Hou Jin as the Chief Actuary, marking the second time in over a decade that China Life Insurance has adjusted its position as Chief Actuary.
Hou Jin was born in January 1980 and later graduated from Southwest University of Finance and Economics and Nankai University with a Master's degree in Economics. He is a North American actuary. According to her resume, she has served as a senior actuary and assistant to the general manager of China Life Insurance's actuarial department. She has been serving as the deputy general manager of China Life Insurance's actuarial department since December 2019.
China Life Insurance also announced that two executive assistants, Zhao Guodong and Bai Kai, have been nominated as vice presidents. Among them, Bai Kai, born in the 1970s, was only promoted to the position of Assistant to the President in April last year. He also took over from Vice President Zhan Zhong, who was previously in charge of personal insurance and bank insurance channels, in charge of personal insurance marketing this year. In the middle of this year, Zhan Zhong resigned from China Life Insurance.
According to the resume, Bai Kai was born in June 1974 and graduated with a master's degree in Economic Management from the Hubei Provincial Party School. From 2011 to 2017, he successively served as the General Manager of China Life Insurance Hubei Huanggang Branch and the Deputy General Manager of Qingdao Branch. Later, he served as the Deputy General Manager, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager of China Life Insurance Hubei Branch. In April 2022, appointed as the Assistant to the President of China Life Insurance.
Zhao Guodong, who was promoted to Vice President, was born in November 1967. He was appointed as the Assistant to the President of China Life Insurance in October 2019 and replaced Li Mingguang as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of China Life Insurance in February of this year.
Zhao Guodong has served as the Deputy General Manager of China Life Insurance Hunan Changde Branch, General Manager of Yiyang Branch, Deputy General Manager of China Life Insurance Fujian Branch, and Deputy General Manager of Hunan Branch. Afterwards, he also served as the Deputy General Manager and General Manager of China Life Insurance Chongqing Branch, General Manager of Hunan Branch, and General Manager of Jiangsu Branch.
At the same time, Liu Hui and Ruan Qi, two vice presidents of China Life Insurance, were also nominated as executive directors. Prior to this personnel change, the executive directors of China Life Insurance were Bai Tao, Zhao Peng, and Li Mingguang, the Chairman of China Life Insurance Group.
Born in 1966, Ruan Qi is currently the Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of China Life Insurance, and has been serving as the Chairman of Wanda Information Co., Ltd. since July this year. He has been working in the information technology department of China Life Insurance for a long time. Liu Hui was born in 1970 and initially worked at China Construction Bank. Later, he worked at Guoshou Asset Management and China Life Insurance Investment Management Department. Last December, he was appointed as a member of the Party Committee and proposed to serve as Vice President of China Life Insurance.
In addition, China Life Insurance has also nominated a new audit leader, Hu Zhijun. At the age of 52, Hu Zhijun was previously the General Manager of the Audit Department of China Life Insurance. She joined China Life Insurance in 2006 and successively served as the Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager of China Life Insurance Tianjin Branch, Deputy General Manager and Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission of Beijing Branch, and General Manager of Asset Management Department.
