Hangzhou, July 6th (Xinhua) - Recently, the "Hello, Carbon Neutrality" themed research activity was held in multiple locations. The research team consists of over 20 central media journalists, foreign experts, and international students studying in China. The reporter from China News Network walked into Hangzhou with the event, visiting the Hangzhou Asian Games Museum, Hangzhou Low Carbon Science and Technology Museum, Zhejiang Petroleum Hangzhou Yangjiadun Energy Station, and other places to experience the low-carbon practices of this Asian Games city in various aspects.

The Asian Games Museum is located inside the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium and is the first Asian Games themed museum in Asian Games history to open to audiences before the opening of the competition. According to the guide, the museum includes three exhibition halls: "Asian Games and Hangzhou", "Asian Games and Asia", and "Asian Games and the Future".
The Hangzhou Asian Games has issued the Green Action Plan, implementing eight special actions including green energy supply, and proposing efforts to achieve carbon neutrality in the first Asian Games. "Green" is one of the important competition concepts of this Asian Games, and it is also the "main color tone" of this Asian Games.
Upon learning that even the clothes hangers placed in the dormitories of the Asian Games Village were made of wheat straw material and the toiletries were made of environmentally friendly fabrics, the foreign nationals on the spot were surprised by these clever and thoughtful details that were not easily discovered, and expressed their expectations for the opening of the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Low carbon
The Hangzhou Low Carbon Science and Technology Museum in China is the world's first large-scale science and technology museum with low-carbon as its theme. It integrates functions such as low-carbon technology popularization, green building exhibition, low-carbon academic exchange, and low-carbon information dissemination.
When introducing the distribution of exhibition halls in the venue, the tour guide mentioned that the "Global Warming" exhibition hall on the second floor is the first exhibition hall in China to adopt a thematic interpretation display method. Here, the research team boarded the "bamboo raft" car and experienced the theme exhibition areas of glacier melting and burning earth along the ground track, immersing themselves in various extreme environments brought about by global warming.
In the "Low Carbon City" exhibition hall on the same floor, interactive exhibits for measuring carbon emissions of transportation vehicles such as bicycles, cars, and airplanes are set up, aiming to encourage visitors to consciously join the ranks of low-carbon living by experiencing low-carbon products that are closely related to life.
When asked about the visiting experience, international student Riya Shangde from Pakistan said that the interactive products set up at the Hangzhou Low Carbon Science and Technology Museum are very interesting, especially suitable for young people to learn and understand China's efforts in carbon neutrality.

At Sinopec Hangzhou Yangjiadun Energy Station, reporters and several foreign nationals boarded the vehicle to experience it. Through the dedicated "one click battery swapping" point inside the station, a new energy vehicle can replace its battery within 5 minutes and continue driving on the road. As the station staff said, "It's easy to change and move, and charging is as convenient as refueling."
The reporter learned that Zhejiang Petroleum Hangzhou Yangjiadun Energy Station can provide services to more than 300 customers every day, basically meeting the battery replacement needs of drivers along the way.
Through this event, foreigners have personally experienced the measures, achievements, and determination of Hangzhou, the Asian Games city, in low-carbon development. "I think carbon neutrality is important worldwide, and China is leading the world in this regard," said a foreigner from the United States after the trip
