Affected by the recent rainstorm, Beijing, Hebei and Tianjin in North China suffered from rainstorm and flood disasters. The reporter learned in the interview that as of around 12:00 on the 4th, more than 40 members of the Guizhou Blue Sky Rescue Team rescued about 30 trapped villagers in Shawo Village on the same day. Guizhou Blue Sky Rescue Team Captain Wang Yi introduced that they departed from Guiyang at 22:30 on the 2nd, drove for more than 30 hours, and arrived in Zhuozhou at 5am on the 4th before heading straight to Shawo Village for rescue.
"The road leading to the village is uneven, with some areas being waist deep and others relatively shallow. The assault boat cannot use power and can only be towed manually by rescue team members." Wang Yi said.
In recent days, the two committees of Shawo Village have been on duty, assisting the Hengshui Fire Rescue Brigade and other rescue teams in transferring hundreds of trapped people. "Eating and drinking water are not a problem at the resettlement site, and there are hot dishes for every meal," said Wang Huai, a 67 year old villager from Xiangyang San Village in Matou Town, Zhuozhou City. "It's more reassuring at the resettlement site, and the most important thing is the safety of the family.".
"I've never seen such a large amount of water before, and I'm still scared when I think about it now," Wang Huai said. The village was flooded on the afternoon of July 31st, and now a family of five are all at the resettlement site.
